See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

This historic pub was originally called "The Terminus" and was situated close to the railway when it first arrived in Aberystwyth in 1863. It can still be found opposite Aberystwyth's more modern station and was renamed 'Vale of Rheidol" in the 1960's, which refers to the local steam train service. The pub itself has changed little since and still comprises of a single long room with a bar running almost the half the length. It has been recently refurbished in 2019 from top to bottom with all facilities brought up to-date, and care has been taken to preserve the pub's history and cosy interior. Although no food is served, plans are in place to link up with a local businesses to provide bar snacks.
